7/14/2023 0 Comments After effects cost per yearSubscribing to an all-apps plan is comparatively cheaper than subscribing to one app only. While the first one is to subscribe only to after effects, the other options let you purchase all software from Adobe, including after effects, premiere pro, adobe cloud, and so on. In particular, After Effects plans are divided into two categories. You have to purchase one of the available plans to get full access to the software. But only downloading the software won’t give you full access to the application. So for people who sell there animations what would you charge for all the work to create a simple animation in the 20 second range? Considering you need to create the characters/objects yourself during the process. To get after effects, you will have to download after effects from the Adobe website. I've spend probably around 18 hours on each animation, but about half of that is watching tutorial videos and searching for AE articles online. I was thinking about $500 for each animation, but I wasn't sure if that seemed unreasonable, or even way too low. I am also learning AE as I go, so I spend lots of time watching videos and reading guides that I try to take into account when invoicing, I don't want to bill for time spent learning, only producing. My animations are pretty simple, but most of the time is spent creating subjects in Photoshop, and prepping photos for animations. The problem is I've never invoiced for small animation projects like this, so I am not sure what's a good ballpark number to be around. I have a really tight connection with the company that commissioned, so I can simply invoice afterwards and they have no problem paying whatever I invoice. I was commissioned recently to make two short animation banners for Facebook pages. Started my own business this year doing small video projects and special computer builds.
